Air Conditioner Installation in Broomfield, CO
Colorado summers are short but brutal on upstairs bedrooms. A properly designed system cools every room, not just the one with the thermostat.
- Load calculation and duct airflow check
- New outdoor unit and matched indoor coil
- Refrigerant lines as needed
- Charge verified by measurement
- Permits, inspection and rebate help
A bigger AC is not the fix
Heat rises, sun hits the roof, and most homes have far less return airflow upstairs than they need. A larger air conditioner cools the downstairs faster, shuts off, and leaves the bedrooms warm.
We size your AC with a Manual J load calculation and correct the airflow so cool air reaches the rooms that need it.
- Room-by-room Manual J load calculation
- Equipment matched with Manual S
- Return and supply airflow checked
- Refrigerant charge measured, not guessed
- Startup testing and a walk-through

A heat pump cools exactly like an air conditioner and also heats your home in fall and spring, or all winter with a cold-climate model.

Repair or replace?
An air conditioner under about 10 years old that needs a repair costing a small fraction of a new system is usually worth fixing. Once an AC passes 12 to 15 years, needs repeated repairs, or a single repair approaches a third to half the cost of replacement, replacing it usually makes more sense, especially if it is a lower-efficiency unit or some rooms are never comfortable. Available rebates can also tip the decision. We give you both options with real numbers, and if a repair is the better call, we'll tell you.

AC installation questions
What size air conditioner do I need?
The size your home's Manual J load calculation calls for. Many homes have an oversized AC that cools the downstairs fast, shuts off and leaves the bedrooms warm. We confirm sizing with a Manual J on every installation.
How long does an air conditioner last?
Most central air conditioners last 12 to 20 years depending on use and maintenance.
Should I replace my furnace at the same time?
Not always. If your furnace is newer and in good shape, we can match a new AC to it. If both are older, replacing them together lets the equipment and blower be matched. We'll give you both options.
Are there rebates for a new AC?
Most Xcel Energy and Colorado incentives favor heat pumps, which cool like an AC and also heat. We show you both and handle the rebate paperwork.
Do you pull permits?
Yes. Installations are done to code with permits and inspections.
