Heating

Do you repair all furnace brands?

Yes. We repair and maintain all major furnace, heat pump and boiler brands, and we install Bryant equipment as an authorized dealer.

Should I repair or replace my furnace?

It depends on the age of the furnace, the cost of the repair and how well it's keeping up. We give you honest numbers on both options, and if replacement makes sense we size the new system with a Manual J load calculation.

Is a heat pump a good choice in Colorado?

For many homes, yes. Today's heat pumps heat well in Colorado winters and also cool in summer. Some homeowners pair one with a furnace for backup on the coldest nights.

Do you work on boilers and radiant heat?

Yes. We repair, maintain and replace boilers and hydronic heating systems, including baseboard, radiator and radiant floor systems.

FAQ · Cooling

Cooling

Can you add central AC to a home that never had it?

Usually. We check whether the existing ductwork can carry cooling airflow and modify it if needed. For homes without usable ducts, ductless mini-splits are a great option.

Why isn't my AC keeping up on hot days?

Common causes are low refrigerant from a leak, a dirty coil or filter, restricted ductwork, or a system that was never sized for the house. We diagnose the cause before recommending a fix.

Do you service evaporative (swamp) coolers?

Yes. We do spring start-ups, fall winterizing, repairs and new evaporative cooler installations.

Can a heat pump replace my air conditioner?

Yes. A heat pump cools exactly like an AC in summer and also heats in winter, and it often qualifies for rebates.

FAQ · HVAC design & comfort

HVAC design & comfort

What is a Manual J load calculation?

A Manual J is the industry-standard, room-by-room calculation of how much heating and cooling your home needs. It's how we size systems instead of guessing from square footage or the old unit.

Why is one room always hotter or colder than the rest?

It's usually an airflow problem: not enough supply to that room or not enough return air. We measure it and correct the ductwork rather than oversizing the equipment.

What's the difference between Manual J, S and D?

Manual J calculates the load, Manual S selects equipment that matches it, and Manual D designs ductwork that delivers the right airflow to every room.

FAQ · Maintenance plans

Maintenance plans

How often should my furnace and AC be serviced?

Once a year each: the AC in spring and the furnace in fall. Both of our maintenance plans include these spring and fall maintenance visits.

What's the difference between the Basic and Premium maintenance plans?

Both cover your spring and fall maintenance visits with a photo report and discounted repairs. Basic starts at $239 a year. Premium starts at $449 a year and adds an in-depth checklist, a 6-month breakdown guarantee, priority emergency booking, a bigger repair discount, courtesy heaters or AC during a breakdown, and a $50 replacement credit for every year of maintenance.

How does the 6-month breakdown guarantee work?

On the Premium plan, if a covered system breaks down within six months of its maintenance visit and it was in top condition with no recommended repairs at that visit, there's no diagnostic fee. Repair costs still apply.
